Visitor information

We love to see visiting golfers enjoy our course and we are happy to see so many familiar faces return each year. If this is your first visit hopefully you too will become one of our regulars. It would help us greatly as a club if you would bear in mind and adhere to the following guidelines. If after your game there is something you are not happy about please let us know so that we can try and put things right.

Booking your game

Go online at WBGC Visitor Booking to book your game. If you hold an Arran Golf Pass, email the club on info@whitingbaygolf.com to reserve your tee off time. Make sure your pass is signed and with you when you turn up to play. We can accommodate 'turn up and play' visitors but cannot guarantee a tee off time without a prior booking. If online booking or e-mail is not practicable or should you have any other questions, please give us a call on 01770 700487.

Arrival

The Club is tucked away behind the village centre of Whiting Bay.  Find us on google maps.

By car, proceed south through Whiting Bay village centre. Turn right at The Coffee Pot following the signs up the hill and back along the Golf Course Road to the club. There is plenty of car parking available.

If on foot, walk up Pier Brae from the village centre. At the top of the road there is a footpath signed straight ahead, however this is overgrown and difficult to navigate (especially with a set of clubs). Instead, turn right in front of the white cottage, then immediate left passing up an unmade track between the cottage and a large house. Follow this for 50 yards between old greenhouses directly to the road and the Club. Please note that there is no vehicular access to the Club or to Golf Course Road from Pier Brae.

Please report to the starters office or the clubhouse on arrival. If neither is open please ensure any green fees due are paid by using the honesty box in the clubhouse corridor.

Buggies

We do have a limited number of buggies for hire by visiting golfers provided ground conditions are suitable. Please ensure availability by booking your buggy in advance by email or telephone 01770 700487.

Yellow tees for casual play

Unfortunately we are not blessed with acreage here at WBGC and our medal tees are reserved for club competition play. Please play from the forward tees only.

No dogs on the course

Unfortunately the care and maintenance of our course involves the use of pesticides and chemicals, may of which can be harmful to dogs. To ensure their safety and your peace of mind we do not allow dogs on the course. Well-behaved dogs are always welcome in our clubhouse.

Keep it clean!

Please ensure no litter is left anywhere other than in the litter bins provided throughout the course.
